  1. Add a control panel manually. You are required to have the panel HWID - it can be received only via Transfer, at panel search

PANELS

  1. Reload: to start upload of a project on a control panel. The project and the license have to be selected from the lists beforehand.
    Two arrows mean that the new project and license will substitute the ones which were uploaded previously.
    An arrow and a plus mean that the new project and license will be uploaded in addition to the ones which are already uploaded on the panel - the Multi-design mode is activated in the settings of the control panel
  2. The status of connection of control panels to Transfer. See the meaning of the indicator colors below.
  3. The control panel name. It can be changed in the settings of the control panel.
  4. HWID - the unique identifier of the control panel. It is used in licensing
  5. Select the license file from the drop-down list (it is formed by the Licenses tab)
  6. Select the project file from the drop-down list (it is formed by the Projects tab)
  7. Upload the project on the control panel. It duplicates the Reload button.
  8. Open the control panel settings in i3 pro
  9. Switch Render for Windows (only for specialists). It changes the way of interface creating (rendering). Do not change it without consulting with iRidium technical support team.
  10. Copy the HWID of the control panel for licensing
  11. Open the control panel settings
  12. Delete the control panel from the list (it can be restored in the list by re-Search)


Transfer RedLamp.png i3 pro is not launched on the control panel or it cannot connect to Transfer
- the project upload will not start until the problem is solved.

- project upload is deliberately forbidden in the i3 pro settings

PANELS: SETTINGS

  1. The control panel name, it can be changed
  2. The folder where the control panel will be located
  3. HWID – the unique identifier of the control panel. It is used for licensing
  4. Comments, not required
  5. The Multi-design mode – on/off
  6. The settings of connection to equipment. They allow you to change connection properties in the project which is selected for the control panel. The changed properties will be used only when uploading the project on the control panel. Editing of these settings does not change the initial project.
    Use: uploading of the same project on several control panels, for each of which you need to indicate specific connection properties (it is often used when working with AMX)

PROJECT

  1. Add the visualization project in Transfer.
  2. Create a folder for grouping projects.
  3. Create an executing file of the project for Windows. The button generates a folder with the exe files and resources. During the generation you need to select the license file with which your exe file will work. After that the folder can be copied on any PC and launch as the i3 pro client on Windows.
  4. The visualization project name
  5. The visualization project resolution in pixels
  6. The drivers which are used in the project
  7. Open the project settings
  8. Update the uploaded project from the initial source (when editing the project in iRidium Studio, it is not updated automatically in Transfer)

  1. The project name, it can be changed

  2. Create a folder for grouping licenses
  3. The license file name, it can be changed

  5. The HWID or serial number to which the license is assigned. The HWID is not displayed if the corresponding control panel is not added in Transfer
  6. The drivers which the license supports
  7. Add the license file
  8. The license properties
  9. Delete the license from Transfer

GENERAL

  1. The interface language of iRidium Transfer
  2. The patch of the TPDesign4 editor: it adds new project resolutions for AMX developers
  3. Display the log of Transfer work in the window located in the lower part of the app
  4. Save the log of Transfer work in the text file
  5. The path of log saving
  6. The path of saving executing files for Windows, which can be created in the Projects tab
  7. Return the default settings

SEARCH SERVER

  1. The UDP port for searching for control panels and iRidium servers. It must not be blocked by the router or another application.
  2. The list of PC network connections. There have to be only ONE network connection at a time. Otherwise the Search function will not work. The control panel has to be connected to the same IP network.

SECURITY

  1. The TCP port for uploading projects opened on PC and the control panel. It must not be blocked by the router or anti-virus software. The port of project upload can be changed in Transfer and on the control panel if it is busy with another application.
  2. The list of PC network connections. There have to be only ONE network connection at a time. Otherwise the Search function will not work. The control panel has to be connected to the same IP network.

  1. In this tab you can set up the password which will be requested when opening the settings of control panels and projects in Transfer. Setting up of the password will protect from copying settings of connection to equipment.



Troubleshooting

There is a number of typical problems which can lead to the disfunction of the panel search in iRidium Transfer or disable project uploading on control panels. Even when your application is set up correctly you can face the situation when you need to check some settings of PC, network and safety.

All problems described in this article can occur in practical work. Please check their solutions here before contacting iRidium Support Team!


How to understand that there is a problem ?

Normal uploading:

  1. Panel indicator in Transfer - green
  2. The project and license file are selected (the license file is not necessary but equipment cannot be controlled without it)
  3. You can see the "Downloading" bar in Transfer
  4. There is the "Updating has finished" string in the Transfer log
  5. You see your updated project after the process is finished


Panel indication in Transfer

The indicator in Transfer displays the i3 pro state. To update the project the indicator has to be green (On) and i3 pro has to be started and opened:

Fixing problems

Please perform all actions below one by one. They will help you to find and fix the problem:


* Yellow icon in Transfer

If you see the yellow icon On of i3 pro panel in Transfer it means that the ability of update has been trned Off in i3 pro settings. To turn it On again:

  • press on panel in Transfer by the right mouse button, select "Show system menu"
  • now you see the System setting in i3 pro . Select the "Update" tab
  • set the tick Enable and press "Save & Exit"
  • press the button in Transfer. Now the project updated!



1 Correspondence of versions

iRidium versions on PC and your control panel have to correspond:

  • with iRidium V1.5 you need to use the iRidiumHD application
  • with iRidium V2.1 you need to use the i2 Control application
  • with iRidium V2.2 you need to use the i2 Control V2.2 application
  • with iRidium V3.x you need to use the i3 pro application


The OS version of control panels mast be supported. For V3.x (i3 pro) you have to use:

  • Apple iOS 8 and later - iPad, iPhone
  • Windows 7/8/10 - PCs, mono-blocks, tablet computers. Embedded versions and OS Emulators are not supported!
  • Android 4.4 and later - smartphones and tablet computers. It is required to have a possibility to write data in the device internal memory (at least 50Mb) an at least one network interface (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, 2g/3g/4g)



2 Home or office Wi-Fi network

Make sure the Wi-Fi network is not "Public", as Search and Upload will not work in this mode.

3 Transfer Network Connections

Only ONE network connection should be selected in the Transfer settings:

Confirm the changes and restart Transfer.


4 Windows brandmauer

Turn off the Windows brandmauer. It is the most common reason of problems with project upload.

The brandmauer does not show messages about blocking Transfer. The problem can appear after you reinstall Transfer, restart your PC or change your Wi-Fi network even if there were no problems before.

Start > Control Panel > Windows Brandmauer >Turn Windows Brandmauer On or Off > Turn Brandmauer Off.

If it helped add iRidium Transfer in the list of exceptions of the brandmauer (or temporarily turn it off).


5 Anti-virus software

Turn off any anti-virus software (for example, AVAST, ESET, Kaspersky, Dr.WEB, Microsoft, Panda, Agnitum, etc.) temporarily. If you are sure that you will do it correctly just add iRidium Transfer in the list of exceptions of your anti-virus software. Restart Transfer.


6 Connection between devices

The project might not upload on the control panel because of incorrect settings of the IP-network.

For example, on one of the devices Wi-Fi can be off or the devices might be in different IP-subnetworks. To check it, pingthe control panel with the PC where Transfer is running:

Start > Run > cmd > ping <IP of the panel> >>> ping 192.168.0.10

Check network settings on all devices - their addresses should belong to one network and subnetwork:

If there are problems with network connection please contact your local network administrator.


7 Third-party software (torrent-tracker)

The Transfer application uses ТСР port 10000 and UDP ports 10001, 10002 for searching panels and uploading projects. Some applications, for example uTorrent, also use these ports and thus block the work of Transfer.

If the port of project uploading (10000) is busy, you will see the message in Transfer. Do not ignore it. Turn off the third-party applications which show network activity and restart Transfer.


8 Selecting projects in Transfer

Make sure you added your project and license in Transfer, and not only upload the standard interface (default screen saver) which is stored in Transfer by default.

When making any changes in your project you need to update the project in Transfer for these changes to be uploaded on the control panel.


9 Correct Wi-Fi settings on all devices

If you use the static address of the PC and panel, make sure all required fields of connection settings are filled in (especially the router address). Otherwise, you will have ping but Search will not work.

- The device IP-address should be unique in one IP subnetwork

- The router have to be indicated and it should be done correctly. Otherwise, the client will not be able to connect to Transfer for project uploading.

- DNS should be indicated. Generally it is the same as Default Gateway


If you use DHCP click "Renew Lease"


10 HTC, Samsung note 3 (Android OS)

Due to security settings on Samsung note 3 tablets and due to problems with firmware on some HTC smartphones (HTC Sensation, HTC Incredible S) the panel search function and update from Transfer do not work.

In the case of such problem you should update your project through i3 pro system settings. See more information about it in “What to do if you couldn’t fix the problem”.

What to do if you couldn’t fix the problem

Use these instructions if you need to solve the problems urgently. In other cases please contact iRidium Support Team to find out the reasons of problems with panel search or project upload as this method does not always help.

You can initiate project upload manually. The indicator of the panel in Transfer will be red but in some cases the project upload becomes possible.

  1. Start i3 pro on the control panel.
  2. Hold a finger on any area of the application without active items (for example, in the left upper corner) for 10 seconds.
  3. You will see the password request. Enter 2007 and click ОК
  4. Open the "Update" tab, activate the update - Update: ON
  5. In the "Host" property indicate the IP-address of the computer where Transfer is running.
  6. Click "Update Now"
  7. In the Transfer log (if Search didn’t work) you will see the message "Authorization is false" (the device is not in the list). The device HWID will be shown in the line before the message:

  8. Copy the HWID and add it in the list of panels

  9. Close i3 pro. The application should NOT be in the background
  10. Select the project and license and restart i3 pro. The upload of the project on the panel will start.


If Search didn’t work, it will not work but you will be able to upload your projects by restarting the application on the panel.

Please go through all the above mentioned solutions one more time. If it didn't work, contact iRidium Support Team.



List of Transfer errors

The list of errors which can be output by the iRidium Transfer application and their reasons:

Update server start failed. The port should not be busy. Please, check
the error at Transfer launch. Possible reasons:
  • no connection is selected in Transfer settings. Open the 2nd and 3d tab of the settings and mark the active network connection
  • a third-party application occupied UDP port 10000 - the port for starting the update server. Close all applications which work with the network and can occupy port 10000 (for example, Torrent-tracker)


Attention! You have several network cards activated on your PC. It disturbs work of the search and update functions. Please go to the Transfer settings and select one network card for working in the local network.
in Transfer settings several interfaces are marked. Open the 2nd and 3d tab of the settings and mark only one, active network connection.


Transfer v.2.2 app will be closed to launch Transfer v.3.0
you are going to start the new version of the Transfer application. It requires closing of the current Transfer version.


Transfer v.XX.XX app will be closed to launch Transfer v.YY.YY
the message appears when working with two iRidium versions. To open one of the Transfer versions, the version which was opened before must be closed.


Attention! Devices struct in desing was changed. Devices configuration in panel will reset for design XXXX
the design structure changed considerably at update in Transfer (some drivers were added or removed, settings of drivers changed). Due to this fact, the unique parameters of project update set up in the control panel settings (Properties > Device Configure) will be cleared and you need to set them up again


Error when opening file!
the error at adding of the project to Transfer:
  • the file might be opened in another program (AMX TPDesign4, ETS). Make sure the file is not occupied and try again
  • the file might be damaged or the path to the file contains special or hieroglyphic symbols. Copy the file in the root of the system disk (С:\) and try again


Error when saving file!
the error at file adding in Transfer. It occurred because of the impossibility to save the file in the application resources. Make sure the file is not occupied, open Transfer under the administrator rights, reload you PC and contact the technical support team


Panel(x): Updating has failed
the project update on the control panel is not completed. There could be disconnection because of the unstable Wi-Fi network or the application was closed. Try again


Warning! You can not use in Transfer v.3 projects created in the iRidium GUI Editor. To continue, make a copy of your project and save it in iRidium Studio.
you are going to add the project created in iRidium V2 in Transfer V3. Open the project in iRidium Studio and save it with a new name. then add the saved file in Transfer V3 (or use it in Transfer V2 for which the file is meant)


Wrong project file!


Already loaded project! Loaded as XXXX
the project you want to add in Transfer is already added under the name ХХХХ


Unknown file format
the attempt to add the file in the unsupported format. Another reasons:
  • the file might be opened in another program (AMX TPDesign4, ETS). Make sure the file is not occupied and try again
  • the file might be damaged or the path to the file contains special or hieroglyphic symbols. Copy the file in the root of the system disk (С:\) and try again


No source file!
the project update in Transfer failed as there is no initial project file (make sure the file was not moved or renamed)


Wrong licence file!
the added license file contains incorrect data. It could be damaged at download from the web site or changed manually. Download the file again using another browser


Panel(x): Authorisation is false
i3 pro which is not in the list of control panels is connected to Transfer. Click Search, the panel will appear in the list and it can be updated. If it does not appear in the list - your service of panel search does not work. See the instruction on solving this problem


Panel(x): You use old version i2 control, please update your application to the version 2.2 or late
you connect an outdated application (i2 Control or iRidiumHD) to Transfer V2. Install the application on the control panel which corresponds to the Transfer version.


Panel(x): Update is not required
the visualization project for upload on the control panel is not selected. Check the Project column in the Panels tab


Error when verifying update
the error at checking for updates of the Transfer application (click Alt, the menu Transfer > Check for Updates). There might be no updates


Device is not in Panels list
the message of the Device license file (iRidium V2). It is displayed instead of the control panel HWID in the Licenses tab, if the control panel is not added in the list of panels in Transfer


License with that name already exists
the name selected when adding the license file in Transfer is not unique


Wrong update PIN for panel with name: XXXX and HWID: YYYY
an incorrect PIN for enabling update is entered on the control panel (see PIN in Panel Properties by double-clicking on the panel in Transfer)
